Paint Colors With Sherwin Williams
I am so happy with how our paint colors turned out. Choosing colors for an entire home is a process — we went through countless samples and made multiple trips back to Lowe's to see how everything looked in different lighting throughout the day.
I started with Pinterest and YouTube for inspiration, but what I quickly learned is that how a color looks on a screen or a swatch tells you very little. The real test is how it reads on your walls. I was shocked at how many times my top pick on paper became my least favorite once it was actually up.
My biggest recommendation: buy the samples and test them. Apply your favorites to every wall in the room, not just one, because light shifts throughout the day and it changes everything. It's a small extra step that can save you from a costly repaint.
As for finish — I went with flat on the walls and ceiling and satin on the doors and trim. A simple detail, but it makes a noticeable difference.
