ALMOST HOME

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to share some information about our house renovation. Almost three years ago, we made the big decision to move in with my parents so we could find a place of our own after getting married. The house we ended up purchasing was a major fixer-upper, and despite all the hard work, sacrifices, and energy we've poured into it, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m oddly enjoying this busy life of problem-solving, decision-making, and packed days. I know there are others out there looking for inspiration, just like I was. I wish I had easier access to information back then rather than spending hours doing reverse searches on Google, often hitting dead ends.

Last night, I stood in our yard, feeling a bit surreal about how close we are to moving into our house. It’s hard to believe this will be our home! It seems almost too good to be true, but here we are. I can’t shake the feeling that I was doing this for someone else all along—isn’t that strange? But anyway, we are set to move in this month, May 2025, and I can’t wait to share more updates in the coming months! We’re saving all the DIY projects for the things we feel brave enough to take on ourselves. It might take a while to put on the finishing touches, but I absolutely love sharing our progress and connecting with others who are on similar paths and hearing their feedback/advice!
